My teacher Joke Robaard initiated exhibitions where she and the fellow contributers explored relationships between garments, clothing, textile and areas, places, spaces. The exhibition space is specifically chosen for containing the displayed content. I worked together with Emile Molin and we designed 2 publications; both 20 x 20 cm foldout magazines to awkward sizes.

magazine, 03 Sep 2001

Our mission was to experiment with the format magazine. We wanted it to become an area, space or object to fit with the project. This issue turned out to be a double sided Pattern-sheet filled with student info-graphic pages. We used a sticke to keep this big piece of paper closed.

Next to designing it my contribution was the start of the Mass Appeal project. I related New York City with any person who wears Air Jordan sneakers. It is partly about the aspect of color coordination in street fashion. The exhibition was held in Casco, Utrecht.
